I made a video about...and because...
I made a video for cosmetic surgeons to introduce them to the value of marketing their business online. Since I do SEO and make videos for plastic surgeons, I thought the video would be a perfect, quick way to tell them what I'm about and what my services can do for them.
How did you make your video?
I used Microsoft Clipart images, carefully planned text, and upbeat music. I heard about Animoto from a business associate, so I used it to help create this video. I also used Windows Movie Maker software. I then uploaded it to YouTube and embedded it onto my homepage.
The video has helped many of my clients to get a quick summary of what cosmetic surgery marketing online can do for their plastic surgery practices. I think that it has been an invaluable tool for marketing my own business. I look forward to seeing continued success for myself and my clients through video.
Interesting factoid about this video: It was my first video ever, so it took me about 8 hours to do. Next time around, my videos took me under one hour from script to finish. Learn how to use your video editing software and learn how to write a convincing script (I used Dan Kennedy's "The Ultimate Sales Letter" as a guide.
Lessons Learned
- Making videos is easier than I thought and anyone can do them!
- They really help to teach in a way that everyone can understand.
- Video simplifies complicated topics through show and tell.
- Video helps any business get ranked in Google, so I use it for all of my clients to boost their exposure online.
