I made a video about...and because...
I made a video about X Factor 2010 wild card Elesha Moses. Because she is a great singer who has come ridiculously close to being a major recording artist but isn't quite there yet. Also as a calling card for the new Video production business I am starting with Big Brother studio director Evan Pugh and Harry Potter CG artist Michael Bonnington.
How did you make your video?
We produced our video for an incredibly low amount - everyone worked for expenses only.We shot on green screen in a nightclub in our native Brighton, UK. The video was edited in Exeter by Ray Marett and the CG was produced (over 5 months) by Michael in his studio using Maya and After Effects.
Lessons Learned
- I learned that if you expect people to work for free - things tend to be (completely justifiably) put at the back of the queue -- people have to eat! There is such a thing as getting carried away and having TOO many ideas
