Another Android plus - there are fewer Apps available so a great Android App may have better viral potential than an iPod App.
How to Get Started Making an App for Android
Start by visiting the Android Development Center to download free Apps development tools. I suggest taking time to read the blog, watch the videos, and, by all means, join their developer forum.
If you are a beginner, relax. The tech talk can be intimidating - don't let it scare you off. You did not learn how to read, speak, or use the Internet in a day and few people will learn to build an App in a day. To master any new skill you only need three things: time, patience, and a willingness to learn through trial and error.
Join developer forums and just some of the read posts. At first, Apps developer communities will sound like a foreign language - but that is a good thing. "Immersion" will give you new words and concepts to research more on your own - it will help you learn faster by showing you what you do not yet know.
One of the hardest parts for Apps beginners (after coming up with a fresh idea and overcoming fear of learning a new skill) is not knowing enough to even know what to ask. Reading advanced forums can help you build your developers vocabulary faster than only hanging out in the forums for beginners.

Marketing Your Android App
After your application has been developed and is ready to fly, you can market it through the Android Development Center. But be sure to have all the bugs worked out first - a bad App is bad for business.
