Definition: Twitter is a microblogging service that allows users to send very short messages to other people. These messages are called "Tweets."
Twitter Tweets are limited to 140 characters or less per Tweet. This includes spaces, and characters in text, and hyperlinks.
Many business owners use Tweets to send out updates, coupons, sales alerts, and other information to their customers.
Tweets are similar in concept to sending a text message.
