Income Tax Return Due Date: Anyone who filed for an extension using Form 4868 must now file their form 1040 returns by October 15, 2009.

Charitable Contributions and Other Allowable Deductions Deadline: The last date to make charitable deductions that can be deducted from your 2009 return is December 31, 2009. In-kind donations must be in the physical possession of the recipient, however, check donations only need to be postmarked by 12/31/09 to meet the deadline.
Keogh Plan Establishment Deadline: If you wish to deduct Keogh plan contributions from your 2009 taxes you must establish a Keogh plan by December 31, 2009.
