  • Work well to reduce or eliminate stock volume on particular items;
  • Can be used introduce new items and services to customers to get them "hooked" for future full-price sales;
  • Develop customer loyalty and attract repeat and new business;

Always Offer generic coupons that anyone can use, but you can attract a wider customer base by also offering coupons to target different market segments.

Unique coupons, based on demographics make your customers feel special. For example, offer specials for senior citizens, AAA members, frequent shoppers, or even a coupon just for children buying gifts for family members during the holiday.

Another plus about special interest group coupons is that you can get information about your customers based on which coupons are being redeemed.
