By , About.com Guide

Question: Does Obama's Tax Cut Plan ReduceTaxes for 95 Percent of Working Families?
Answer: FactCheck.org obtained information from Len Berman, director of the nonpartisan Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC).

The TPC estimates that Barack Obama’s plan would:

  • Cut taxes for 81.3 percent of all households, and
  • Provide a tax cut to 95.5 percent of all households with children.

Barack Obama did not vote to increase taxes on families earning as little as $42,000 per year as has been stated by the McCain/Palin camp.
