When it comes to making ends meet, women are on the money.
An article by Charlie Weston (Independent.ie) reported on two more studies that show that women are better with money than men.
Here are a few highlights:
- Women are better at financially protecting their families than men;
- Business women take fewer risks, make better financial decisions and are less inclined to take on debts.
- Women worry more about financial security than men;
- Women are more likely to take steps to protect against losses for the family (such as buying life insurance, funding pension plans, etc.)
In the article, Trinity College finance professor, Brian Lucey, stated he believes women make better investors because they adopt a "slow and steady approach," also citing that female-dominated boards tend to do better than male-dominated boards.
