How to Enlarge Text Appearance on Websites That Use Small Text

Wednesday January 7, 2009
I recently came across yet another annoying website that has begun incorporating teeny, tiny, unreadable text into their content. This time it was the IRS - an agency subject to regulation under the Americans with Disabilities Act that should know better.

Because of this unfortunate web design trend many websites are inaccessible to people with vision impairments but also to those with super woman eyesight. Fortunately, unless you are severely vision impaired it is easy to enlarge (or reduce) text to make it more readable on your computer screen without having to purchase or download special software.

The article subtitled, "The Importance of Making Your Website Accessible," includes links to resources where you can find out more about the importance of building accessible websites.
