Microsoft Security Flaw in Internet Explorer - Email is Not a Hoax

Sunday December 21, 2008
If you have an email address you have probably received your share of spam email and Internet hoaxes. But if you have seen an email in circulation about Microsoft having a major security flaw in Internet Explorer (all versions) be advised that it is not an Internet hoax.

According to "Chris Sorensen, business reporter for "The Toronto Star, "More than 1.5 million computer users around the globe may have been exposed to harmful software or viruses because of a "critical" security flaw in Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer, the most widely used Web browser in the world."

If you use any version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer you need to download a security patch immediately. The patch is easy to download and install even if you are not computer savvy but if anything computer-related intimidates you (relax, you are not alone!) just use another web browser like FireFox until you can get someone to help you download your security patch.
