Are there benefits to certifying as a woman-owned business? If you are in the construction industry, the answer is definitely, yes! Local governments call for women-owned businesses (WOBs) in many industries but are particularly interested in finding qualified WOBs that can provide services and goods related to construction. In order to get government business male-owned firms may also look specifically for WOBs as subcontractors.
